Dang-I was hoping to see an updated mother colony pic and thus the reason I kept the pic I posted-not trying to mislead anyone or steal pics but I thought it would help to see what a Hell's Kitchen was. My frag is actually growing pretty steady under 400w MH-the reason I do not have record of the guy in MN is cus he was in the middle of a move and his friend on RC was selling frags for him kinda sorta-the thread was in the LPS section over there-I hope others post that have frags of this, it is unique!!

I am the one who connected my buddy to Keeperz on RC. The frag I have of it is doing well, although I do not have a recent picture of it. It is an Acan Rotundaflora, and Coralnutz is correct....it is CRAZY bright looking, especially under actinics.

THe "Hells Kitchen" name came from one of the reefers in our local club, so you probably won't have a lot of people know much about it. It originally came in as a wild colony and was known as Jerry's UFO acan, before it was renamed to Hells Kitchen.

I got my frag about 2 1/2 months ago (mid Jan.) with 2 mouths, and now it has 4 mouths, so mine is growing pretty well. I do feed it quite regularly, and I have it about 3/4's of the way up in my 75g, under 8x54 T5's.

No, not the only person that has it now, but it's so limited that it would be very easy to track back to him. wouldn't be more than 2-3 people down the chain. To be honest though, that coral doesn't even look like the same species IMO.

cool , just asking... Ill call this one. .. Kitchen Delight :hammer:

Here are a couple shots of my HK. The first one is the day I got it, the second is earlier today (about 10 weeks later)

Keeperz - What kind of lighting are you keeping yours under? It looks a lot more red than mine, or did you use a different setting on you camera maybe to make the red pop more?

not saying you were using any tricks, just saying that my red isn't accurate in my photo and was wondering more what settings you were using on your camera
