    Hello-
My white tail bristletooth has developed a fuzzy white line on the right side of his body. The left side looks fine. I also have a yellow tang who looks fine, no visible sign of a problem. The bristletooth seems to also be bothered by it and slightly leans into his right side as if being irritated. Please help!

    Thanks,
    Brad

It almost looks like he's sloughing mucus ... any possibility he got stung by something?

Maybe. He's been in my tank a month now. Eats fine, good weight, active. I have bubble tip nems and lots of corals so maybe stung or maybe a rock scrape? I noticed it yesterday and it is worse today (pic).

Hopefully, @Humblefish or @melypr1985 will be along soon, and can offer advice.

In any case, watch for the possibility of bacterial infection to set in. If it does, you'll want to have a QT with some broad-spectrum antibiotics ready to go.

In case I need it, what broad spectrum antibiotics would you recommend?
