I just poured a cap and a half full (must've been enough for a 70 gallon) of Seachem Prime into my 20 gallon reef thinking it was zooplankton! Can this hurt my animals or will it be fine? Thank you for reading.

You absolutely can - I believe it strips the oxygen out of the water. Get some power heads pointed at the surface and an air stone if you can and keep it in for a day or so.

I've already got a powerhead and I'll add a bubbler, thank you!

No problem, you should be fine . If the fish start gasping and acting lethargic you’ll know what’s up but otherwise you’ll be good. Better to be safe with the bubbler though.

I wouldn’t worry about it. Prime can be dosed up to 5x the amount. A cap is hood for 50 gallons. So you can put 2 full caps in a 20 gallon and be fine.

when setting up our freshwater I had an issue and had to use4 caps in our 65 gallon and it was perfectly fine. It will out of the water column in 24 hours.
