Help! Clownfish dead

I am broken over this. As I went to feed for the second time today, I shut the power heads down and noticed One of my beautiful longfin clowns upside down Floating with the current, with a small kink in the middle of his vertebra. I don’t really see any sign of parasites, disease, etc. I’ve had him and another for almost 4 months now. The blue outlines is just his color.. I’m so saddened by this. My other clown seems to be eating and doing just fine. He was sticking his nose in his belly to try to keep him afloat.

As I look more closely... all is not well. My other clowns eye is a grey color.. the one pictured above. The other side is normal. What does this indicate??

flukes probably? you might want to post in the disease forums tho

It could be flukes or an injury. For flukes, you can always give a freshly dead fish a FW dip and then look for flukes in the settled water...might help diagnose the issue for your other clown.

I put the freshly dead clown in freshwater for a few minutes now and don’t see anything.

Please provide more information so recommendations can be targeted.

Water parameters are on the top of the list. A complete battery of RECENT test results are a good place to start. Be sure to include temperature and salinity along with your test results.

Also, have you added anything new to your tank?

I added a leopard wrasse that I got from DD maybe 2-3 weeks ago. And a few corals I got from a reefer on r2r a few days ago.

I did a close inspection of all my other fish, and there’s not a blemish on anyone else

my original thought when I first saw him was that he got caught in the powerhead, but I wouldve expected more physical signs of injury? and then on top of it the other clown has a cloudy eye. I'm just not sure what to do. I don't have an extra tank to QT.

it is quite possible ,unrelated,just a scratch on eye,only being one eye,but other seems like blunt force accident,watch other close esp other eye ,best wishes,sorry about lil guy :(

Were the 2 clowns fighting?

Not to the point where I thought it was a problem. I bought them when they were real small back in may, and they seemed to pair up and would do normal clownfish bickering at each other, but nothing crazy.
