Hello. I bought an Elegance coral about 4-5 weeks ago. It was doing week until about a week ago as it started unattaching itself from its rock base. This morning it is completely unattached and sitting on sand bed. I have checked my parms and all it steady. It looks ok and has looked ok the past week except it unattached. Is it dieing? IS there a way I can reattach it to a rock?

Any advise is appreciated.

I'm more of a fish guy than a coral guy, but I had that happen once and if I recall it just stayed alive for a time on the sand bed-- but it did not continue living, long term.

Same as other corals do when they bail out. Last ditch survival effort because it was in an unhealthy environment.
