Awesome i was hoping so lol, i just bought it. Hope its alot more colorful in my tank than theirs lol they only use white lights here.acanthophyllia..
acanthophyllia..
Will do. Also do you know roughly how much acanthos usually go for? I know there usually expensive i just want to make sure i didnt get scammed.oh she will.. come back here and show us...
This does look like an acanto. look at the flesh patters on this one versus the original.going to look close to this under blues..
whites
It looks really round though. Not bent or pinched like trachys usually are. I actually just bought this because something stung my trachyphyllia 2 days ago....That looks like a welso or possibly trachy to me.
One day later still not fully open but looking good!oh she will.. come back here and show us...
Can you tell off the feeding response if it's a acantho or trachyphyllia? Just took this video feeding it.(cleaner shrimp stole some though...)trachy,welso
The first few pics and this video are the same coral. That looks like a trachy to me... I have many of them in my DT along with acanthos and cynarina. The texture of the flesh (straight from the center out to the edge) is telling. If the first couple pics were the same coral, those look more like an acantho to me.
Based on the feeding response and the last couple pics, I'd put my bet on trachy...
+1, doesn't look like AcanthophylliaThat looks like a welso or possibly trachy to me.
Wow that's awesome got it for 60$.most likely Indothophilla, my guess ,2-500 range true acano, will be in 8-1200 range
