Hi, I have a chalice in the last week or so has had like a transparent tube protrude from one side of it, like texturized plastic (but definitely is not plastic) and really thin clumps of string coming out the other. I gently tussled forceps against it to see whether it would come off like hair algae but nothing came off. Or do I really need to yank it off even if it hair algae? Also I just got a leptoseris that has two blank patches, one of which looks like its dark string attached to it. Is it a sweeper or can I yank it off? Thanks for any insight.
