Help ID what this is

I am finding this in my sump and I am not sure if it is aiptasia or something else

Definitely not aptasia....looks like either bacteria or some type of sponge.

I personally would.....only because I keep my sump very clean. It is probably harmless but I cannot say for sure without knowing exactly what it is.

That's sponge mixed with some detritus - the sponges are harmless/beneficial (some people purposefully keep sponges in their sump to act as part of their filtration).

IMHO your sump should be fool of life. Sponges, little critters, ECT.
