Hi, new to the forum but have been lurking for awhile. So Ive had this rock since I set up my tank, Aug 2015, and I just noticed today that this pink thing encrusting the rock has small polyps and might be some sort of SPS. I always thought it was from one of the frags of clove polyps I put on the rock, and I've glued newer frags onto it. Can you help tell me exactly what it is?

I would be tempted to say encrusting Gorgonian or a Clavularia sp.

So you think the pink stony part is just the base of the cloves? That was my initial thought but today I noticed the tiny polyps extended on it so I thought it might be an SPS that has been secretly growing on the rock.
