Dear reefing masters,

Never posted before but def a lurker. Need help IDing this white film. Now I suck at this hobby so I wouldn't doubt I've done something wrong. 1y old tank.
Nitrates 30
Phos- .03
Alk 10
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Mag 1350
Cal 400
Salinity .025
Lights - 300w viparspectra

I cant seem to keep anything but zoanthis and Petco bought nems alive (lol) outside of livestock
Just an answer on why I am terrible.
Although I will say I am proud I have a single circle of Coraline algae .

Any ideas?! Thanks

Pic under white lights? Could just be detrius, or sponges, or algae. Is slimy? Does it wipe off easily? Any other description would be helpful. There’s a big learning curve on this hobby, give yourself credit for how much you have learned.

It doesnt feel slime and wipes off pretty easily if you need a better picture I can get it. I had been battling algae So

i had the lights on and off a few times for a few days in a row 3 on 3 off 3 on. After the second time I saw this starting to grow and after the and a week later the Coraline Started to appear too. Algae under control. It's also on the rocks. Feed once a day

Oh man. So I realize it might be a bacteria bloom. I started dosing small amounts of distilled vinegar (5ml) no fight the nitrates and algae!!
