Hey all,
I’m a couple months in to my second reef tank, it’s a 29 gallon 29 inch long 18 inch tall 12 inch wide topfin tank. I have some zoas, mushrooms and a hammer that are all doing fine with the lights I’m currently running which are just the white strip LEDs that are built in to the hood that came with the tank. I’m looking to ditch the cover and upgrade my lighting, preferably LEDs. I was looking at the max aqua 165w and 300w but my tank seems to be either just a little to big for the 165 or a little too small for the 300, I was wondering if anyone had any input on which, if either of these options I should go with. Or if anyone had recommendations for a different light. I’m going to do mostly softies and lps but the more I look at everyone’s amazing sticks I wouldn’t mind if my lighting could handle that in the future...

AI prime HD are good lights for small tanks if that's in your budget
