Hey, 20 long tank here.

I had a good shape going but someone suggested I get some more rock, so I got a piece my coral beauty might like.

How might I scape this bad boy?

Second photo is my new rock

Lift it up off the bottom by resting it on smaller rocks. Place it off- center (side to side) and angled (front to back)

Your pigmy will enjoy swimming all around it. The more holes and crevices the happier she (or he) will be :)

So angle (Front to back) have the back rest on the glass??

And yea I read the angel loves crevices. So when i saw that one I thought of my girl.

Can touch the back but I prefer not to lean on it... the angle and off-center keeps it from looking like a straight line of rock. Raising it up off the bottom gives the fish more places to weave in and out of, and adds a kind of visual dimension. Look at the tank from the side and top. You will see the straight line of rock pretty easily.

I just combined my 2 nano's into one and rescaped... will post pics tomorrow (fishies are sleeping!). My flame back angel is in heaven. ... note on that vein... pigmys prefer more space than a 20. Ours is a small fish, we gave her a really intricate scape to explore, and have a 90gal we will upgrade to one of these days. She is happy with what she has now though (neurotic pacing lengthwise / up and down one end of the tank, uncharacteristic skittishness and relentlessly dominating another fish can be signs she needs more space)

Can you see this? Took it right after rescaping. The purple stylophora (has coral crab and clown goby in it), smaller bangaii and angel came from our 10 gallon. I will try to capture a better view of the rock. The stylo provides great ducking and weaving space too.
