i hve always ran a uv sterlizer on all my previous small system regardless i need em or not and never had any problem with my systems....
now with my curent large 300gln system gathering all the equipment and it cost seemed to be a bit tough to get em all at once but now is the time that i invest in one with is gud for a 300gln system....
how many of u all r using uv sterlizer and ur thoughts and any recomendations on which one should i get..
thanks

I like them and I believe they help with algae and a bit with disease. Aqua U.V. is the only way to go. CL TurboTwist have leaked on me twice so stay away from them. Aqua U.V. 57w is what I would go with. Maybe run 6-700 gph through it. If you really want to go serious get an 80w unit (dual 40w bulbs). The only other brand that I can recommend is Emperor Aquatics. They have some BADA** units but I don't know how affordable, I usually stick with what I know.
