Pretty new & don't have experience owning these, BUTwas in the LFS today and they showed me how they work and demonstrated on a tank the different flow patterns with 2 opposing vortechs. It was pretty sweet. If you can swing it I'd go for 2 mp40s.

i like troylees idea of just having the return at one end with an mp at the other end...that's what i would do to save money

Yeah, go with the two MP40's cant go wrong. they create a sand storm in my tank 2x2x4 when on full blast
