Salinity? I juat lost three pieces over a few short weeks because my salinity got up to 1.03 somehow and I didnt catch it
I also questioned this. I run around 1.025-26. Triton test made it seem that salinity was a little high when I calculated the numbers. A local LFS and WWC water tested in line with what I've had however so not much has changed.

Has the issue progressed? I've seen this bubbling in frags I've received in. Not sure what causes it. Good flow and lighting usually results in the coral growing over those spots, ime.

Not sure about the necrosis. That has always baffled me. Colony going great, then dead over night, has happened to me a few times over the years. Never could pin point an issue to cause it.
I'm hoping it has stalled with my schedule of water changes. That said it had progressed over the Spring and Summer to wipe out the majority of my SPS in this tank :/

Hope it does turn around for good. Tank issues sure can be frustrating. Going back to basics isn't a bad thing when stuff like this happens. No dosing you can't test for. No major changes. Keep equipment clean. And change water regularly. I do about 10% every few days when issues I can't explain pop up.

I believe the bubbling has stopped (or at least is not noticeable to the naked eye). I may try to get some macro shots tomorrow and hopefully I can tell for sure. I've also noticed LPS appear less inflated so it does not seem to be isolated to acropora. Euphyllias and other LPS are growing.

The STN still seems to be a VERY slow problem. Overall I am not seeing a net growth. I've been keeping Alk at about 7.5, I've pulled all my Siporax, and switch from BRS to ESV 2 part. I noticed the biggest reduction in bubbling with these changes.
