Hey Everyone,

I’m starting a 120 G Reef tank - 72x19x18.

Can you please recommend a good heater with a controller on Amazon that will not break the bank and is reliable ?

THANK YOU !

Welcome to R2R!!!

I've used the Ehim heaters from amazon in the past with good results. Quite often BRS has them for a better price just so you know. Oh and brs has free shipping if your not a amazon prime member that's a win win.

Thank you ! I actually bought a used Reefkeeper Elite with all accessories and 2 new eHeim heaters . For $150 . Do you think this is a good combination ?

Other then the heaters it's what I have now. Sadly reefkeeper is no longer around but there's plenty of guys here to help you with them.

It is better than running the heaters with out back up. Support for the reefkeeper is not very good. If it is working properly still you should not have too much trouble with it. Set your heaters a little warmer than you want you tank to be. Use the reefkeeper to turn the heaters on and off.

Reefkeepers are good and effective, and with 2 new Eheims, sounds like you are well on your way. You can always look at some of the old BRS videos on how to set up the Reefkeeper if you need some help.

Big Als is having a 20% off heaters sale. Might want to price check there too, but they charge for shipping up to $75
