Help me please!

my friend gave me this coral the other day and I'm not sure if it's dead. It comes out a little bit every day but not much. Is there anything I can do to save it?

First it's an LPS (Large Polyp Stoney) Coral.
It definitely isn't happy. Could be several reasons. Most common, to much light, water quality issue.
Check parameters and if possible move to the sand bed.

It's either a Tubastrea or Dendrophyllia. Both need routine supplemental feedings to survive as they are non photosynthetic corals. Maintaining a consistent alkalinity is important as well.

if you look really close on the left polyp the remaining flesh is those small green dots inside of the skeleton

The remaining tissue on the left polyp is green. The orange is all skeleton.

Ok, Euphyllia isn't a NPS. Typically the reason for their demise is stress from water chemistry issues, usually alkalinity or an unstable young system still going through chemistry issues.

My tank is great! The water and lighting is perfect, all the other corals are doing great and growing! His tank wasn't the greatest, but is there anything I can do to help it out
