help me set up this drain

Hello everyone. I am setting up a little frag tank / wifey's tank and cant figure out how to make the drain the best way. It is a 24x24x14 cube with a small box overflow with 2 bulk heads for drains.

With only 2 I would suspect it was designed for a herbie drain. It's where you have one pipe lower in the overflow and you control it with a valve to keep it at full siphon, then you have an open drain pipe higher (with no valve) that is an emergency overflow.

I realized a picture is worth a 1000 words so here is a picture from BRS that shows a herbie drain. Which is how I personally would plumb that overflow.

ok thats what i was thinking just haven't do them that way for a while. i have a gate valve to put on the drain just have to figure out the emergency height part

I would make the emergency drain as tall as I could. So I'd put it just a little below the weir.
