I currently have a pair of clowns and some various CUC, otherwise this tank is looking empty! I plan to capture the clowns and keep them in another tank while introducing new fish to help avoid aggression. I'm thinking of putting in a lawnmower blenny but otherwise don't have anything particular in mind.

Anyone have any suggestions out there?

In my 40B I have:
1 percula clown
1 royal gramma
1 ywg + tiger pistol
1 firefish
1 flameback angel
1 orange spot blenny
1 valentini puffer

Everyone gets along pretty well.

Other suggestions would be a dottyback, sixline wrasse, springers damsel, cherub angel, other shrimpgoby species, clown goby, neon goby. Not all of these would work together, just some to consider.
I would suggest a longnose hawkfish but mine would snack on my cuc.

I don’t think you would need to remove them unless they’re a more aggressive breed of clownfish. You could add a royal gramma, a firefish, watchman goby & pistol shrimp pair.

Thank you for the suggestions! I’m definitely interested in a sixline and shrimp goby pairs are always great!

Thanks for the advice and the suggestion! The clowns have been on their own for a few months now so I’m slightly worried they’ll be territorial. We shall see!

I'm slowly stocking our 40g breeder, ours currently has a pair of misbar clowns and 2 bengaii cardinals. We're planning to add a firefish and more once the 2nd part of tbs package arrives .

Banggai have been in my mind for the tank as well. They do well with your clowns?
