Im using a hy5000 waterblaster pump for my return and would like to add a small manifold with 3 or 4 outlets for a reactor, feed line for a fuge and possible for a small frag tank in the future. What is the best way to plumb it so I dont get air in my reactors upon start up. Any other tips or ideas are appreciated. Feel free to ask me for any info needed for this, I know I didn't provide much. Pics are helpful too.
Thanks

These guys will probably have what you want as long as you don't mind using PVC.

These might be best for you though:

Attach one to your pump and run tubing to each reactor or wherever you want water to go.

the initial startup will bleed the air out the lines, but after that you should be watertight if the plumbing is sound

Here is an example of mine. The manifold feeds (starting at the top and going clockwise):

-Main Return line to display (upstairs)
-Waste line to main house drain (for water changes)
-GFO reactor
-Frag tank Return
-Carbon Reactor

It's an easy and simple design with ball valves for each outlet. Has worked well for me for a few years now. Of course, I have a much larger main pump due to the head pressure going up one floor, but this is just an example for you to see. I'm a visual guy...lol

I was thinking something like the 4 port on the top of the first link. I had no idea someone made these. Anybody got any pics of one all plumbed in? Also what are the push in type fittings called for the pipes going out.

Too slow. Craig thanks for that, Im a visual guy too. That looks about like what im looking for. Thanks for you help.

You can certainly buy one of these pre-made one's for cheaper that would likely work just fine. Keep in mind that my sump and equipment is in my basement so I have a lot of room to spread things out. If you're looking for something that would need to fit under a tank, one of the pre-made designs that xmetal posted would work well. Just make sure you have room to put ball valves on all of the outlets so that you can control the water flow to each (hope that makes sense). Also, I would recommend having one extra outlet. You can close it off if you don't need it but it will come in handy if you ever have the need to run a UV for a while or need to feed an additional reactor down the road. It won't cost you much more and I guarantee you will find a use for at some point : )

There is a thread on another forum I am on who used those fittings. it will take me some time, but I will find it for ya and send you a PM with the link.

if i could give abit of advice as i already have one on my 180 and i will have another with the same pump your using. make sure if you have 2 outputs into the tank make sure they are the same length. you might also want to consider 2 valves for each reactor so you dont have to tinker every time you close one.

Thanks for all the info guys, if anyone has anything to add please post it up.

What size feed line do you guys recommend for different applications. Like reactors, feed line for fuge, etc.......
