Hello there-having a sudden bit of issues with micro bubbles-didn’t change anything at all. Have an AIO, took the return pump out cleaned it a little, tightened the connections, lock line is submerged-cannot get these bubbles to go away. Pump is fully submerged, I don’t have a skimmer. Anyone have any suggestions I can try??

I have the same AIO tank as you. You need to add more water to the tank so that the water level in the return pump chamber is higher. The water that is flowing into that chamber is causing the water bubbles.

Do you have an auto top off?

Thank you so much adding more water did the trick for sure! I do have an ATO but haven’t set it up yet, plan is to get that going this week. Can I ask if your return pump
Just kind of hangs in the column as opposed to sitting in the bottom? I kept it as it was since it was a marketplace buy and didn’t have any info on the setup for that and couldn’t find any on the Fiji Cube site

Great!! I got an ATO a few weeks ago and it is a game changer. I now have it hooked up to a two gallon fresh water reservoir. Isn't it wild how fast the small tanks evaporate.

I have a Sicce Micra Plus return pump. It has small suction cups that attach it to the bottom of the chamber. However, I don't necessarily see why your pump hanging would be a problem but I can tell you that it is definitely designed to sit at the bottom. If you wanted to fix it, it would be very cheap. Just get a new tube and cut it to the right size and replace the old one.

Lol-it really is, that and I feel like these AIOs might just be a bit more difficult with the tight spaces in the back and just not really being able to see well-though admittedly the previous owners water line should have been a really big clue for me-Lol. Thanks so much, I need to get some redundant equipment like heater, pump and what not so I think I will also grab a new line for the return so it can sit on the bottom.

The tight spaces can get so annoying! Here how I set mine up to maximize space.

I have my heater, ATO sensor, and fresh water reservoir line in the return pump chamber (it is so important to have an ATO because without one, the water will evaporate quickly and the water level will drop and the heater will be exposed to the air.) I used the middle chamber to stack a variety of things. On the bottom I have ceramic media in a mesh bag along with activated carbon. On top of that, I fitted a rectangular sponge. Finally, on top of the sponge I put two pounds of live rock rubble. And I just use the left chamber for filter floss and my digital thermometer probe.

Good luck! You'll eventually find out what works for you!
