You have no idea what is in it. This is why many of us will not use stuff like this. No black boxes for me unless there is not other choice (sometimes there is not). I mention to change water because you know what is in the salt mix and they all have iron. One day, when your tank matures and you are cranking out chaeto, you will likely need to dose iron on top of water changes or supplements - just simple iron from SeaChem, or the like, will work. The chaeto can really chew through it.

I can see why they might leave it out to discourage fleshy algae growth, but I have no idea if this is right. This might be the wrong thing for some tanks, but might help them sell more product if they decided to go this route. Again, I have no idea... just speculating with perhaps my super skeptical hat on.
