I swear I can’t figure out how to get my corals happy.. I’ve been doing big water changes every so often and been guessing with dosing from Sporadic testing and I just can’t nail it. I’m disabled and have impaired hands. I think I’m gonna go back to when I actually had success with an auto water change set up that I took off line awhile ago. Seems as the only thing I can get consistency with.

I have roughly 85 gallons of water volume and plan to do a daily 1% AWC. I came up with .85 gallons daily “3200ml” roughly. Does that sound correct? Or is .12 gallons “450ml” daily. Which one is actually 1% of 85 gallons daily?

Ever since I switched to Brightwells neomarine I’ve been in a decline and notice particles like sand settle in the display and storage container. I was running Tropic Marin pro but switched during them having issues. My numbers have kind of been all over the place especially low alk and calcium and rather high in mag when Getting water tested at lfs and find myself adding and dosing according to BRS calculators only to find out my corals didn’t like the fix. I add slowly as brs recommends..
Should I try reef crystals or something closer to elevated numbers that I’m shooting for since I’m doing the AWC approach which could minimalize dosing two part until I can get some consistency with the AWC to find out how much I need to be adding?
Was trying to shoot for 8.4alk 420calcium 1300mag

I'd try switching the salt. At least for a little while to see if you notice a change. I like Reef Crystals, and it would produce water close to your current parameters, but I found my tank likes Instant Ocean combined with my dosing pumps (alk/calc/mag) more.
