Then you'll definitely need a test kit and a good lightI want soft corals and fish
I second this. Later on you'll want HANNA testers.Looks like that is a kit, with stand, light, skimmer, and filtration media. I would start with a heater and some basic test kits (for now, get a cheap API master kit and note that it will always read .25 ammonia at minimum. once you are cycled you will never use ammonium or nitrite test kits but you will want them getting started). Get everything set up and running for a while to get it cycled and ready to keep fish and then slowly add fish then clean up crew (snails etc) and then corals.
That light is not going to be enough for most coral, but should be able to grow softies. I would recommend just starting with that and seeing how it goes. It is so easy in this hobby to get over geared, everyone will tell you you need this or that, but you really don't. Get going, do some research when you find you have a particular problem or see a need in your tank, then upgrade and spring for more gear.
The one thing i would recommend would be an RO/DI filter set up. But you can just as easily get water from your LFS for a while too.
