HELP!!! Profilux setup!

Holy Cow!

I just inboxed my new Profilux 4 ultimate set and it did not come with setup instructions!!

Does anyone have any videos or step by step instructions?

Is it not Mac compatible? I plugged my MacBook to the USB cable and I get nothing.

Well, reading up on the GHL website, it seems it is not compatible with Mac. Ain’t that some bull S**t. Would have been nice to know before I purchased it.

Does anyone have a work around?

Should have gone with Neptune.

Go onto the GHL sponsors page, ghl on Facebook or the GHL forum, I’m sure you will get the help you need..

Tired following instructions. Downloaded the app and it asks me for the display name. Can’t find that anywhere. Also can’t find any videos that show you how to use the app and connect it to the controller. The equipment came with zero instructions and when you download the ones from the GHL website, they do not explain how to connect things and get them running, unless you have a windows based computer.

Just really disappointed with this. I should have invested in Neptune products.

I kept hearing how GHL was superior so I spent the extra cash . Really bummed and disappointed.

I appreciate everyone’s willingness to help, however, pointing me to a link that does not really explain anything any further does not help to much.

I think I found a solution!!!!

I’m going to go to my local community college, get a two year degree in software application and then I can figure this out!

You have to use a pc for the initial setup, but after that you won't need to use a computer much, if at all. They are working on making it easier, as their stand alone doser can now be setup without a pc.

Back to your issue at hand. Do you now have a pc or are you running bootcamp on the mac to run GCC? I don't have a mac, but you can get it set up with one using bootcamp, whatever that is?

You will love it when you get it setup and you can use the app.

My computer knowledge is not very savvy. I do not have a Windows computer, nor do I know what boot camp is. I am going to Best Buy today to get a $120 refurbished chrome book so I can try to get this working.

I read a lot of positive reviews about Profilux, which is why I went with them. I also lived in Germany for three years and know they are amazing engineers. I wish I would have ran into a review that said it is not compatible with Mac.

I picked up a cheapo little netbook from Amazon... just another option for you. Came with a full version of windows.
I'm a mac guy too, so i hear ya... but it is what it is. Like other said, once you've got it online, you can either use your mac and it's internet browser, or use your iphone/ipad and their app.
I actually prefer to use the netbook sometimes because it's quicker to navigate.

I may go this route. I assume the important thing is that it has windows and a USB port?

I did my initial setup with my windows surface :( and not a MacBook.

Once you get through this one issue you will be quite happy with the GHL you made the correct decision!!
