Woke up to see my ruby red dragonet of one week with half its body discolored. Half of it is turning white and it seems there’s a wound on its tail. Saw some of the discoloration since yesterday morning but didn’t think anything of it because I saw it eating.

There is a wound on its tail but that came after the discoloration. Possible fight, or maybe it’s deteriorating?

Is this an infection? How should I treat it? Currently I have it in a little hospital set up with a ton of pods to get it away from other fish just in case.

Don’t think it’s starving because there are definitely pods in my tank… It seems lethargic and unwilling to eat

To start with, this fish looks quite thin which will weaken it. The area by tail seems to be infected and could be caused by injury or aggression. What other fish are in with it?
Now that you have a hospital tank, treat fish with Seachem Neoplex and add an air stone and monitor ammonia level during treatment. Also assure it has a food supply

It is pretty small.. but I agree, we picked it up from the lfs a week ago and I’ve seen it pick at and eat pods in my display.

Other tank mates are:
x3 Firefish goby
x2 Clowns
x3 pajama cardinals
x2 bangaii cardinals
x1 lubbock wrasse
x1 yellow coris wrasse (potential aggressor)
x1 zebra bar goby
x1 royal gramma
I have an arrow crab and a decorator arrow crab. I also have 2 pithos crabs, and 3 porcelain crabs for inverts, just in case.

Treating with kanaplex right now, can I use that with neoplex?

Don’t mix kanaplex with Neoplex, they cover the same issues.

Use the neoplex as mentioned
