So sometime in the past week my salinity jumped maybe even 2 weeks it was 1.031
:( my torch has a crack in the flesh part will it heal!! I have gradually lowered my tank but you can see a few things are attessed out! 1 hammer my torch, mushroom and Kenya tree. The rest of my tank seems fine. The tank is back down now to about 1.027 and my duncan ssems happy again...will the torch heal???

High salinity is a monster. Bring it down GRADUALLY. How I did it was to remove 2.5 gals and replaced with a 2.5 gallon bucket of RO at same temp as tank. Simply place bucket in sink with hot water until temp comes up

If you brought it back down slowly everything should recover. Your Torch doesn't seem to be doing poorly, if you see more tissue recession or it isn't inflating/extending then there is a problem.

I took it down over hours but everything's okay really except my mushroom coral is not open today and my kenya tree, however I moved a rack slightly over that was on top of it so light may also be a factor for them. It is a bit brighter. The torch is opening up now that the salinity is back down. Hoping it's ok :( lost my huge frogspawn a few weeks back and that killed me...

Probably everything will recover. I would be more worried about making sure it didn't happen again, if it was me.
I have an ATO one day it was unplugged a few hours and It must have made a difference some what but I started mixing my salt buckets 1 day in advance thinking maybe the salinity was off on the bucket too as in maybe still some undisolved particles. Not sure the tank is almost a year old this never happened so I will just do daily salinity checks. I also just started up a 125 gallon so my attention is now split between 2 tanks lesson learned just hoping it doesn't have permanent damage
