HELP, something Hard on my Torch

Is this one of those snails you have to remove?

I have confirmed it is hard and I have seen some long stringy thing coming out of it.

Next, if it needs to be removed, how do I remove it? I've tried to pull it off and it isn't coming with Tongs.

Also, those little white dots I think or sorbid worms, they are a pain to get off the glass.

Those white spirals things are spirobid worms.

Could you try to get a better picture? The photos are very blurry.

Looks like a Vermetid snail, should break off with some elbow grease.
