Hey folks !!!
I am just about ready to tape off my sump tank with painter's tape so I can silicone (#1 type) the baffles.
My questions is:
After I have laid the silicone in the corners of the baffles and pressed it into place, at what point do I begin to remove the tape? Is it immediately prior to drying or after the silicone has set up?
Thank for any and all responses.
Jim

Even with painters tape, if you try to remove it while the silicone is still wet/flexible/drying, you are going to shift the glass panels. Let it set and dry before touching tape. Learned that one the hard way. Acrylic (if you can cut straight/smooth) edges is so much easier to work with.

ok i dont understand what the tape is even for.
Maybe because I am a carpenter but what I did was set it in place with a straight cut and just tight enough that it stayed in place on its own.
applied silicone (clear) and whammo it was all great and good to go
