The white things hanging off his bodyNew puffer, LFS says it’s nothing to be concerned about but I’ve never seen this before
How do they look attached? Wiggling? Rigid?
Thats a porcupine pufferfish... Right? How long have you had it? Obviously you can see better then we can, but it kinda looks to me like his 'spikes' got stroked against the grain or something like that.
a they didnuse a net but he was like that before that I believeDid someone use a net on him? That might have really aggravated his prickers and got them like that.
Can they be removed or fall off?I agree with @Rover looks to me like his spikes got stroked into the grain, breaking them
Just the picsIs it just the pictures, or am I not seeing a caudal fin on your puffer?
How are you sure? He's fine, don't worry about it.
So you’re saying they will grow into spikes? They look to be growing in symmetrically. Could just be an in between phase as he grows into something similar to this guy. Perfectly normal in all likely hood.
Yes, I do believe so. It looks common to longspined porcupine puffers. Have thy appeared recently? So you’re saying they will grow into spikes?
