Help What is this?

Not sure what this is, I found it on an acro and it seemed to be leaving a lighter path of destruction. Any help with and ID. The diamond shape seemed different than any crab I have scene.

I have done a bunch of image surfing looking for this, but no hits. Hopefully someone will recognize it, just hoping I don't have a bunch in my tank if a coral eater. It moved away pretty quickly was lucky to get him in a turnkey baster. Also when poked at it balls up like a spider would.

Are they known to eat acro's?

I don't think it's a sea spider. You can see the small "claws" at the front, sea spider shouldn't have those.

Aren't usually sea spiders more legs than body as well? ;Bookworm

I'd say it's a "cryptochiridae" or "Coral Gall Crab". They feed on coral mucus, and can thus be irritating for the host coral.

Looks like it's in the family of Majidae
