Help with clove polyp

Hi, have a had these clove polyps for about 4 months and they were doing great. Now they aren't opening up very often and the stalks (stems) are turning reddish brown. Everything else is doing good and water parameters are all good. Any idea what might be going on.

You need to keep the mat/mass that they grow out of clean. Blow it with a turkey baster, use some tweezers to pull out any detritus/algae. They can be fussy. I’ve had some that closed up for a couple months and then just decided to come out one day and have stayed out since. But like GSP, keeping the base of them clean is important.

Thank you so much! Just used the turkey baster and almost all of it came off.
