Hey, fellow reefers,
Today, just noticed a huge ball in the middle of My Euphylia.
Did anyone ever experienced something like this and can help me out?
Thank you in advance!

It looks either hungry or dying of BJD. Hard to tell. I’ll leave it to the professionals here.

I have added an sps frag yesterday, but did a iodine dip for 10minutes before adding it to the tank.
The Euphylia doesn’t look like bjd (not saying that it isn’t the case) it is rather a huge ball that has appeared in the middle of the polyps. The coral is looking in good shape, and I cannot notice anything with the brown jelly aspect. Could it be splitting? There are severel new growing heads in this euphylia, but I have never noticed this before...

It is splitting. I had that on one of my hammers, about a month or two later, 3 heads

hope you’re right! Mine has grown several heads, but I never noticed anything similar previously!

It’s splitting. Hammers split more often than other euphyllia. Heathy system will produce a few heads a year
