I have had problems with the fish since I got it. Dt has flukes all fish in qt but this fish never was in dt. Has had spots come and go at times. Have been told they were mucus cones. Treating with prazi for flukes done 1 treatment did 100% water change and in second dosage with water change soon. Then will go for 3rd. Slowly getting to hypo salinity to help with mucus cones. Was gone all day yesterday and this morning much more white spots on him and can see way more. Not good but hoping mucus cones still. No other fish in qt have noticeable white spots on them just this tang. Plz help. Getting hypo to 1.009 slowly and will do 2 more doses of prazi. Gonna probably fwd him again as a lot of stuff came off last time. Are they still mucus cones?? Can they live with them and go in dt then they go away? Could it just been from lost of stress? Plz help thank you

Sorry - tough to see what are spots on the fish and what is salt on the glass(grin).

Sounds like you have the two common disease issues covered, so these are likely just mucus plugs.

Sorry yea it is salt I didn’t have enough time to clean glass before work but needed to get a pic. These are some from a couple days or so ago where the spots are not nearly as bad. I’ve had him for 2 weeks and when I got him he had no spots and with other fish showing no spots either I would assume it’s not ich? Would the mucus plugs just go away on own when I put him in dt which will be in about 2 weeks? Should I just keep treating for flukes and not be too concerned and hopefully when he goes in dt they go away? I definitely need to get rid of flukes but if mucus plugs are a thing I don’t need to then I won’t worry too much just want to get rid of all the problems so then no fallow again after fish as back in. Thank you
