Help with Frogspawn (dying?)

Hi All,
My frogspawn is looking weird.... Symptoms:

1. Some Polyps are flat
2. Polyps are not fully extended
3. Mouth is very widely open (and blue flesh sticking out)

Other notes:

1. I'm seeing quite a few baby frogspawns spawning (not sure if it is related)
2. Note: I'm currently treating my tank for dinoflagellates by increasing the feeding to increase nitrates and addition of Waste Away (by Dr. Tim's). It seems to be working well.

My parameters as of this morning.

1. Ammonia: 0-0.2ppm
2. Nitrite: 0ppm
3. Nitrate: 5-10ppm
4. pH: 8.2
5. Alk: 7.8 dkH
6. Salinity: 34.6
7. Temp: 76.82F
8. Phosphate: 0

Can anyone help? It looks to be getting worse. Is it because of my all?

Unless you've had a swing your alk isn't the issue. I neglected my tank for a few months and alk dipped to 5.8 with no negative effects except corals not growing as fast as they could. Maybe flow, maybe an infection, maybe too much/not enough flow.

First time I tested PO4. I just got Hanna checker yesterday. Don't have anything to test calcium or magnesium

Euphyllias are generally pretty lenient corals. I've kept them in a wide range of parameters with varying levels of success.

That being said, I notice they start to get irritated when my phos drops too low, or the trace elements are out of whack.

I would assume it's most likely the lack of phos, since most corals do appreciate minor amounts of it.

If that isnt the case, a good water change to replenish some trace elements should help.

Hi I just want to close this out and let everyone know what happened. It looks like it is a full blown poly bailout. It's just skeleton now but the nice thing is that it spawned a few new baby heads. I'll keep folks updated on how things go
