Help with frogspawn

i have a 10 gallon nano and I bought some nice frogspawn yesterday and it is yet to open up. The guy at the store said only to float it then put it in. It is in very low flow and light very similar to the store. For some reason it is still closed and refuses to open.
Salinity- 1.026
Ph-8.2
Nitrate- 0
Ammonia- 0

A little tough with all of the blue, but that looks like the flesh is receded to me. Was it open and full in the store? Can you take another picture with the blues off?

It looks really annoyed to me, but not to the point where I'm concerned it is already dead. Give it some time and it should adjust to your tank.

Keep it in lower flow. Euphyllia IMO like to be under powerheads where there is uplifting flow.

I did not ask what their paramaters are.

I would call and check if your parameters are close to matching theirs it could be something as simple as that, and is stressing it out.

Was it under different type of lighting in the lfs? Could be acclimating to your light. I agree it looks like its a bit receded. Should be ok though.

So how long should i give it to open up and should i do a waterchange or anything?

Just give it some time. I had frags of Frogspawn take upwards of a week to open up fully. I wouldn't match your water chemistry to the LFS, if you buy from different places you'll constantly be chasing a moving target. Make sure your parameters (CA, ALK, MG, PH, SAL) are in check and give it some more time. What light are you using?

What's your PAR/Intensity? Frogspawn don't need a whole lot of light, want to make sure you don't bleach it out. Do you have any other coral in the 10G?

The light is about 18 watts i have some zoas and a candy cane
