I'm considering one since learning about the syringe. You own the syringe?

Nah I just bought a normal syringe kit off Amazon. I use them for all kinds of stuff, like target feeding and stuff.

How are you cleaning them, regular DI water? Any different readings using different DI water?

I seen a YouTube vid where a guy mentioned CVS DI was the best water to use.

Rodi water is how I clean them. Then when I test again I rince with rodi water. Purchased rodi is subject to the quality control they have. Make it yourself and monitor the quality of the water. Use a tds meter to monitor your process or if you buy the water check with tds meter. If not zero then do not use the water. My system checks tds at 4 places. Source (typical 270, post membrane (typically 4), Post stage 4 (typically 1 to 0), and then post stage 5 (output is zero). When output is above zero I change cartilages .... about 12 to 15 months.

One not so obvious point is to make sure you wipe the vial clean BEFORE installing it into the unit. Finger prints and other obstructions on the glass can interfere with the reading. Use a micro fiber cloth or eye glass lens cloth. Hold the vial by the black cap after securing it to the vial and rotate it in the cloth several times. DO NOT HOLD IT WITH YOUR FINGERS ON THE GLASS.

Great point. I put on surgical gloves when testing and after wiping vial always place in tester with the 10 ml marking forward. This helps eliminate another potential variable.
