Help with Herbie drain

This is the plumbing for herbie that came with the aquarium. The middle is the return line. The drains are too low right? The emergency drain needs to be near the grid of the overflow?

If you don't want splashing water sounds yes, the emergency should be up near the overflow weirs

Yes I def want a quiet tank. I will just cut a new pvc myself then. So basically throw the right pvc and redo emergency drain. Thanks
