Help with Litermeter pumps

Hi,

I’m looking for some help with my Litermeter system. A few years ago I purchased a used set of 3 LItermeters from a member here. I’ve been using two of them to do automated water changes from my basement located about 20’ away. Recently my salinity got out of whack and I realized because the pump sending clean saltwater up from the basement stopped working. I assumed the tubing got a hole in it.

When I bought the used pumps it came with a package of Abbott Norprene tubing so I replaced it in both of the pumps and cleaned the rollers with Acetone. The tubing I pulled out of the non working pump looked fine and did not have holes in it. I put it back together and the shaft is spinning but the three rollers are not. They cover this in troubleshooting but despite taking it apart a few times it keeps doing the same thing.

Next I tried the third pump that I never used before. Although it is working it is incredibly slow. It look over 3 minutes to pump 100 mL.

Any ideas on the slow pump or the non working one? I can try buying new rollers if anyone thinks that will help. I wish they were still selling pumps but everything seems to be out of stock.

Are there any new favorites for remote water change systems?

I would look at purchasing new rollers, it sounds like the old ones are on their last leg.

Thanks, I ordered new rollers last night. It's at least worth a shot. I looked at some other AWC options and wasn't too impressed. With the DOS I'd have to run a USB cable to the basement (not impossible but not easy). The Ecotech Versa looked like a good solution but a lot of people don't seem to be happy with how long the tubing and calibration lasts for AWC.

I reached out to Spectrapure and they said they are waiting on enclosures for their pumps. At least they're still making and supporting them.
