My urchin is losing needles and is way less active. He is still attached and moving. My question is, what do I do? Watch him and see if it gets worse? I don’t want to kill him but don’t want him to suffer please help! I will try and attach a video

How old is the tank.
How long has the urchin been in there?
Has it always been that color?

The tank is about 6 months old. It has been that color from the beginning. He was one of my first additions after the tank cycled so he has been in there about 4 months and has been very active and healthy.

Possibly starving - their diet is mostly coralline algae. You can try feeding it Nori or other macro algaes, but it may be best to quickly get it into a much larger established system.
