Ok so this is what I have to work with. 2 inch center drain and 2 1 inch returns. I know one drain is not good what can I do to fix this? I bought the tank cheep so it’s mine the owner ran as a reef tank and said he had no problems but I don’t need a mess on my wood floors thanks for the help
For me, part of the fun is seeing what works and what doesnt work for plumbing odd aquariums.
I say just put it together like the last guy had it if you are unsure how you want to plumb it.
Cheers!
Can u take pictures of the overflow or os flow going g through those round screens to the overflow or directly to drain tube?
If theres an overflow and if theres enough room u might be able to drill one more hole for drain. If u end up using a si gle drain regardless how large it is its key to isolate ur overflow so snails or fish cant get in and block the overflow.
It’s director the drain tube there is no emergency drain which makes me nervous I guess I could drill another hike but don’t know anyone who could do it
I’ll personally would not run a single drain in my home unless it were a very small aquarium. Could you reverse it and have 2 1in drains and put the return on the center?
Yes I could do that, that’s what I was actually thinking does anyone know any place good to get plumbing parts? I would need something for the 2 one inch overflows and something for the two inch return
