Hello all, been awhile and haven't posted much here so figured this was a great time to test the waters and get some feedback. I've got 4 tangs coming this Saturday from Divers Den a Tenneti, Blue Caribean, Orange Shoulder, and an Achilles. They will be going into an established 320g tank, I have a 40g and a 70g setup ready for quarantine/hospital tanks.

I have general cure, copper, ich shield, kanaplex, formalin at the ready. My question is should I do a fresh water or formalin dip right away or only if they show signs of something? What items can I safely combine for therapeutic treatment for the 30-45 day observation window. My obvious concern is the Achilles knowing they are hyper sensitive and delicate fish. I haven't had the best luck with a different online vendor and treating so thought I would ask for a recommend procedure and advise for this coming Saturday. Hopefully being Divers Den fish they will be of a bit higher quality and health than what I may have seen in the past.

I treat all tangs with cupramine. I would set up dividers in QT with egg crate, keep them from fighting in QT.

Being these are all DD specimens, I wouldn't treat with copper unless symptoms of ich/velvet show. That Achilles will let you know for sure. ;) But also observe all the fish for behavioral symptoms: Heavy breathing, rubbing, flashing, head twitching. Sit in front of the QT every single day for 10-15 minutes to watch them.

After they are all eating well, I would deworm using either Prazipro (more cost effective considering your QT water volume) or API General Cure.

Thanks for the feedback, I have Prazi ready as well so I can use either Prazi or General Cure. General cure contains prazi does it not?
I just want to do everything I can to protect this round especially considering the Achilles. So anything that I can do without stressing them I want to do.

General cure contains prazi does it not?

GC contains both prazi & metronidazole. Prazi is best for eradicating external worms (skin & gill flukes), whereas metro treats brook, uronema and does a better job than prazi of eliminating intestinal worms. However, treating 110 gallons of water with GC will get pretty expensive (compared to Prazipro). I would buy powder praziquantel & metronidazole in bulk to treat that much water.

The thing is you will notice obvious physical symptoms of both brook & uronema, and if any of the fish have intestinal worms you should notice white stringy poop hanging out of their anus. So, if you're observing closely everyday you will see signs that you need to treat with metro.

All fish look good and seem to be doing well. All were immediately swimming around and active after acclimating that morning. The carribean had lost all color but after an hour or so in the tank it all came back. The all took some pellets on the first day and all are actively eating when I feed each evening. So far so good! So maybe start the general cure treatment this weekend?

Divers Den puts their fish through a pretty rigorous quarantine and tank conditioning before they sell them. The only thing I've ever done with fish from DD is 2 weeks observation and one round of PraziPro in QT. I've never had a problem.

Yeah, I got a trio of vostros from DD and they were perfect eating first day like pigs. I had done bluezoo and the first couple of shipments were great, but the last 2 shipments have been almost total losses. Only thing I can peg was that the first couple I think I did shipment 2 weeks out, so maybe I built myself some additional quarantine time and maybe the later batches were quick turnaround shipments on their end that caused an issue.
