Help with snail ID

I was hoping someone would be able to help me ID these snails I picked up today on some macro algae I was gathering.

Nassarius snail?

Shells are too bumpy to be nassarius. Some kind of welk I think but I'm not familiar with them.

I would bet on whelk also many of which are predatory on other mollusks.

Whatever they are they appear to be doing well, not active during the day, and seem to be eating algae. More often than not they stay close together too.
