Hello I have a 55 gallon cube and I was away on the weekend for my sisters wedding. I come back today and my tank is a mess. Would an anemone dying cause a crash I have a lot of livestock and filter and skimmer. My flame angel I can’t find (super torn about this) watched my clownfish die, dead Melanrius and dead anemone. The shrimp were fine, suprisngly my leopard wrasse was fine (male), carpenter wrasse was fine and Springer dotty back was fine. They seemed stressed but I did a water change and immediately calmed down. Can an anemone the white ones with the purple tips really release that much ammonia I don’t even know why it died 😭. I was then gonna give it back to the LFS since my clownfish weren’t hosting it and it almost killed my blood shrimp but I saw it happen and isolated it in a mesh breeder box hit spot fed it and it had light access.

I should add my livestock was 3 wrasse, 2 clownfish, 1 watchman, the dottyback and the flame angel. Also tank had 0 aggression

Idk when it died but my brother checked the Friday and all the fish were alive I just got back home today and that’s when I saw the damage and he didn’t do anything other than FaceTime me and add some flakes which I watched him do

Host that I have had captive bred clowns
Host one the Duncan didn’t seem too bothered try not to get them to host a torch or a euphillia

I have had anenomies before I only had success with one which was a bubble tip which I had ages ago with a maroon clown who loved it I had that one for quite awhile. The rest that I had were bad I got a huge one and it was only like doing well for 3 days untill it went downhill and its stingers deflated and slowly died. I took no risks as it started to throw up its insides so I chucked it away also do not get one with other corals they will just walk over them and sting the corals
