hello guys

One question I have just purchased the TMV next wave 85 aquarium I have a aquarium stand from my old tank this one sits on it perfectly but in the name is aqua one 60 so made for 60l aquariums not 85 it’s made out of napa oak when I sit on it it doesn’t move or make a sound. My question is do you think this will hold the tank or should I buy a new stand

Many thanks for your answer and help much appreciated in advance

It is hard to tell what it is made of from the picture, but it is amazing how much weight even relatively flimsy stands will hold. It looks like it is made from unreinforced sheet material like plywood or particle board, in which case it will probably hold more than 300 pounds easily. If it is made of real wood, it will hold even more. The weak spot with most stands will be racking forces. It will hold a lot of weight plumb, but if pushed from the sides, screws holding plywood to plywood might not be enough to resist.

Hi thank you for your response I found this on the internet
