Corals and fish will be fine. I would suggest a blue/silver tarp from hardware store for true blackout. Feel free to worry but it's going to be fine. Softies (big expensive colonies) are mailed from aisian islands wrapped in wet paper for a two day trip. So all, will be well. A pistol shimp will kill every invert in your tank, and sleeping fish he it gets the chance. As far as peppermint, I've never had much luck. My pallies eat them. Be strong. The ocean is a fearce environment.
Feel free to ignore or take other folks opinions.

Ok thanks I think I'll give that a try! :) should I remove most of the GHA after the three days? And ok because my pistol shrimp is really small but last night he went crazy and never seen my peppermint since. Thanks!

Ok Bart, I think I'm going to try that. So three days will be enough? And is it killing the GHA or just stopping its growth. Then afterwards I do a water change and take out most of the GHA? Any advice on this idea would be great! Thanks again for all your help! :)

After the 3 days you will have dead gha to brush off the rocks with a stiff brush. I would siphon and brush at the same time. 3 days should kill it . If it comes back as bad as you have it...it's too much food and light. I run my led on day cycle and they get 100% for hours, feed once a day, have a pretty average sump and slightly pimped out coralife skimmer. No gha- well once when imported it in with some big zoa colonies. Good luck

All my corals made it fine. I'm just sayin. Don't know about lights..but someone has that light and opinion in this forum,,,may be a good thread to start,
