I recently bought 2 Yellowstriped Cardinals. Knowing my Yellowtail damsel would harass them for a bit, which he did for the first day. But today he/she has chilled.
What I didn't plan on was one Cardinal harassing the heck out of the other. This was not in their description! I feel horrible for the one being bullied :(

I'm thinking of a couple remedies. Return the bullied one to the LFS, return the aggressor to the LFS, purchase 1-2 more Cardinals of same.

My tank is a 40B. 1 Swalesi Swissguard Basslet, 1 Yellowtail Damsel & 2 Yellowstriped Cardinals.

I might return the aggressor because it may continue to aggress toward other fish.

Cardinals can become intolerant of conspecifics of the same sex. You are better off returning one, but if you get a replacement the same thing may happen with the new fish as they are difficult to sex.
