Help!

We had a wave pump go out on our 125 gallon and it was two weeks before we were able to replace it. We did have one going but our hammer coral shriveled up in that time. We have had this for almost a year and it was thriving until the issue with the pump. Any recommendations to bring it out of this?

Are you sure this is due to the lack of the pump? I noticed that the zoas in the background are also closed up. Any changes recently? Have you tested your parameters?

The test results I have are in the post above. The zoas were closed due to one of my emerald crabs crawling across them. We have not had any changes other than the flow issue and everything else in the tank looks pretty normal.

Gotcha. Are those 3 arms on the stalk new branches or are they vermetid snails? If it's snails, they could have been irritating the coral. Just trying to find something here. Of course, it could be due to the pump failure, but you said you still had one pump going, so I'm guessing the tank was at a complete standstill.

Those are new stalks. Like I said, it was thriving before the pump quit. I’m at a loss as well because we have another on the other side of the tank and it is doing just fine other than not being out quite as much as normal.
