Hi all,

What is the recommended hole size for herbie system with one return?

Should the following work?
Drains 2 x 32mm (1 1/4")
Return 1 x 50mm (2")

Feels like the return should get dialed back a bit? But it's what the builder said he usually uses.

Are these the hole sizes the builder uses for the tank itself, accommodating bulkhead fittings?

Well, here’s a good guideline you can go by!

Note: metric plumbing is measured by OD, imperial plumbing is measured by ID!

I always like to make my drains at least the same diameter as my return plumbing, given that the return is under pressure (<1BAR), and therefore has a higher theoretical maximum flow rate than an equally sized single drain!

I typically find 1.5" pvc to be more than adequate for that size tank.

Keep in mind that 1.25 bulkheads are incredibly rare and cost prohibitive.
