Good morning R2R, I have a question regarding my overflow setup. The tank is a 300 gallon dual corner overflow. The previous owner had it set up in a durso configuration. I am in the process of converting it to a herbie configuration. Each overflow will have its own primary and emergency standpipe. The primary standpipes are 1 1/4" stepped down to a 1" bulkhead, stepped back up to a 1 1/2" pipe and then they both go through an independent ball valve before they are connected with a T pipe and sent into the sock filter. My question is, will having them both connected into 1 pipe above the sump cause me issues when it comes to tuning them?

It can be an issue if one traps air and does not purge all the way. Could be noisey as well as hard to adjust. It can be done.
